Merchandise

When designing the t-shirts i found the above design (which is on many of their tee's) thought it would be a good idea to try it with my designed logos!

Logo Development

New Era

this logo came to mind when thinking of how to group my two designed logos together!

Music / Promo

Creamfields

Again some more crafty folding! A6 size which folds out to A3 i do believe! Something more interesting about this flyer is the design of Creamfields typeface, use of helvetica, it is this that has inspired me to create the second logo, taking some cheeky inspiration!

Music / Promo

Chase & Status promo

Founders of MTA Records, these are examples of promotional material for their live tours! Again the same size to which i am designing too, be could to see what my logo would look like on these...

Music / Promo

Drum & Bass Promotion

This is a flyer for a d.n.b night in leeds, where some of the mta artists have performed in the past! The stock is quite rough card which im pretty fond of, something i would like to take into my own design for the calendar / flyer. Also the same size as i shall be using.

Music / Promo

Here is an example of a large promo flyer which uses folding to its fullest! Given out in the size of A5 it folds out to an A1 poster! Nice, its a mental piece of design, busy as you like, this is something i really dont want, I think more clean, clear design is more appropriate foy mr current brief, however this is inspiration for designing concerning the fold...

Music / Promo

An example of a promotional flyer that is distributed via flyering. This being the process of distribution for my calendars! This is also the same size that my calendars shall fold down to, (A5).

The small logos above show how small my designed logo will have to be, so i need to make sure that it is still legible and that at this size.

Calendar Designs

Innovative designs

A mad calendar, the ink spills over the design in time with the days / weeks / months! It takes a day for it too spread over one number / date and it carries on through the month! Im not looking to be as innovative as this but cor blimey!

Calendar Designs

Print calendar,

Another large scale wall calendar, the design is quite nice, nothing special though! But i appreciate it none the less, like the size and idea of it being on a wall, iv got a thing for proper large calendars or posters! Something i would like to maybe incorporate with my own calendar however the problem of the fold is an issue as i have said before.

Calendar Designs

Printed Interactive calendar!

A calendar designed to promote Huggies nappy's. Each page has moveable feet which the person moves each day, representing the first steps of babies i believe.
An interesting idea of making a calendar interactive other than just letting the consumer write on it and ting.

Calendar Designs

Digital Calendars.

Couple of examples i found of digital, online calendars. Something that i shall also be producing in this project. Although plain i like the 'creative calendar', nice and spacious yet able to hold information and i believe is customisable so becomes a lot more personal to the user. This is is an interesting idea however it is not important for me in terms of what i am designing, i do like the layout however and i shall maybe take a few things from this.

Calendar Designs

Printed calendar designs, showing different ways of representing how to set out a calendar...
firstly having a separate piece of design as the main focus of it and having a small part of the calendar for the actual dates and that!
Then a more typography based large scale calendar, something which i want to involve with my own, although i am bound by the folds so the larger it is the more difficult it becomes to design it well.
Finally quite a nice vector based design, using geometric shapes, again something i shall be using myself.

Calendar Designs

Calendars and all that jazz...

So one of the other products / range for my brief that i shall be designing will be a bi-monthly calendar, with details on when and where the artists are playing and the releases of any singles / albums. So here is the beginning to looking into designing a calendar.

Here is a really nice, well thought design. Firstly it is arranged via the use of colour, designating a series of colours for the months, the colder ones being blue and the hot being orange / red! Colour for me will be mostly used in terms of designating the range of the calendars, as it shall be a series of 12(at this moment in time) but this shows how colour can be used to organise the calendar.
Im also fond of the fold and the way the book expands out. Format is an important factor and essentially anything is possible, but i like how it expands out to something quite big! My first thoughts for my own design is to have something like an A1 split down the middle, so it is a thin long piece of paper, that folds out like the example above to form some kind of large wall poster.

Helvetica, standard, Nice idea an' all.
